Prayer in Chains

I ask forgiveness from thee

For how this wild heart flees

Passions that is not stilled

Desires that burn within

Yes Lord, this mind flies astray

To and fro scripture’s ways

Choices shifted by waves

Apart from love and grace

I ask forgiveness from thee

For this heart and mind seeks

In chains and on my knees

By thy love, be set free

Holding Grudges

Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” – Genesis 27:41

Lord, I feel angry, bitter and have much hate in my heart. Will you heal my heart, give me peace, and give me the strength to finally forgive. AMEN.
